The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

One of the people I watch posted this and I'm sharing it for any of you folks who never got a chance to.

IT'S HILARIOUS. Yes it is so hilarious I had to yell. *snorts*

It's Friday.

ALSO

Today is my official last day of work. My my.......and it's a holiday, so no work for me.

I didn't have to work yesterday which was also nice. I get like a four day holiday. I need it! Graaaaahhh.

AND

Here's something I was telling

My goal is to make a page for everyday Monday I've missed since the last time I was posting Reign which was Oct.25. That is 23 Mondays.

I've got 2 down, 21 to go! So there may be a little influx of Reign on Monday's until I can catch up. Crazy goal I has. lol

I'm also considering revisiting some of the earlier pages and just fixing them up because I've found I'm already starting to get into a groove with how I want the pages and stuff to look. Like backgrounds and not so funky background colours [I have no idea why I did that in the first place] XD

So I hope you like Reign! *grabs an umbrella* I will stop with the Rain references .........eventually.

I'll also get to work on a certain kiriban something for a somebody.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go have some tea.

Yeah I have the very same problem, Ren. Except tomorrow I get to sleep in, for my school canceled due to all the flooding that's going on. It's been raining nonstop since Friday afternoon, and this rain isn't supposed to quit until Thursday! And already we've had two tornadoes in two days. Be glad you're in Canada. You don't have tornadoes!
